"Just following orders" I hate this phrase. People use this to justify actions of those who do bad things simply because they were ordered to.
You always have a choice, there may be consequences but the choice of what to do is yours.
Lets imagine for a moment
A rich man you work for order’s you to kill a small child who is too injured to work in the mans sweatshop. You can either kill the child as told, or you can not, their are many other options most people wouldn’t even consider doing . for example you could shoot the rich man, freeing all the the children, but most likely go to prison yourself, but does what happens to you matter? do you exist to serve yourself or the greater good? Is it wrong to kill a man for what you believe is right? Is it right to allow the children to suffer and spare the rich man? Spare yourself?
I am not here to answer these questions, I’m here to make you ask them of yourself.
